OUR HEART BEATS FOR FREEDOM
We empower women & girls who are exploited or at risk of exploitation
OUR STRATEGY
iCare's mission is to glorify God by serving those who are being exploited and oppressed by means of commercial sexual exploitation.
We serve women and children that have been exploited, trafficked and placed at high risk. We operate through a 3-pronged approach of Intervention, Prevention & Restoration.
PREVENTION
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of restoration
Through educating adults and youth about the plight of trafficking in our community, we work to equip them with practical ways to keep themselves and their loved one safe. Since the average age of entry into sex trafficking is 13, we must reach the youth right where they are. Our preventative programs include teaching seminars, awareness campaigns, specialized training sessions, community outreach programs, and much more, all of which help spread pertinent information on how to identify and respond to victims to all members of our community.
We are available to share these events in churches, schools, youth serving organizations, PTO’s, group homes, and many others depending on the need and location.
GUARDING DIGITAL DOORWAYS
THE SHEPHERD PROJECT
EVENTS & AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS
Guarding Digital Doorways (GDD) is a multifaceted cyber safety awareness initiative designed for parents, caregivers, and child-serving professionals who are on the front lines of safeguarding youth. GDD moves beyond simple tech-support to address the systemic roots of digital harm, exploitation and trauma.
The Shepherd Project is a discovery and research-based initiative specializing in Cyber Safety and Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT). One of its core missions is to research current trends in digital safety and produce training materials for kids, teens, parents, and educators.
Our events range from intimate educational sessions to large concert-level awareness campaigns. Whatever the area, we likely have an event for you! Some of our training events also include a multi-disciplinary format which can incorporate professionals from law enforcement, medical, mental health, social work, and education.
INTERVENTION
The key to unlocking freedom
In close partnership with Law Enforcement, our team is responding to trafficking victims in the CSRA. Our team offers a safe place to land while medical, mental health, and education assessments are completed. Vetted volunteers and mentors help structure the days during this period with pleasurable yet purposeful activities, while each victims’ basic needs of safety, food, clothing, and shelter are being met.
After the first three days of rest and psychological first aid, the teams helps to guide each girl to think about a safety plan including long and short-term goals. iCare works closely with Law Enforcement advocates to determine the best options for the next phase of healing. If long term residential care is chosen, we complete the acceptance process and then transport and stay in touch while the victim is in restoration.
RESTORATION
Breaking chains and building futures
Every woman and child who enters into iCare's restoration program comes with unique, complex, and individual struggles that require a diverse and flexible array of support options. Our team of Social Workers and Therapists are equipped with a broad range of skillsets and specialties to uniquely meet each client exactly where they are guide them to their next step of healing and recovery. Some examples of services we have offered to Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) victims include some of the following examples:
SPECIALIZED RESTORATION PROGRAMS:
River Tree Restoration Home
Issues of exploitation, addiction, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and jail are traumatic events in one's life that often require focused multi-day care, and iCare has worked with local ministries to provide a safe haven for women to begin this transformational journey. The River Tree Restoration Home provides a 24/7 haven of healing and help to those who are struggling to break free from a painful past. This transformative care not only includes training sessions on life skills like resume writing and parenting classes, but also includes Bible studying, relationship development, and personal goal setting exercises in order for participants to secure an accurate view of who they are and who they are intended to be. This is a voluntary program for clients working in the iCare facility and requires their willingness to not only follow the house rules but also have an intrinsic desire to heal and be willing to follow house rules
Stable Pathways
In 2026 iCare welcomed in a new specialized therapy-focused program that expands the spectrum of holistic healing opportunities offered to clients. This new care program, called "Integrated Farm Therapy," is a structured, nature-based approach that uses animal care and agricultural tasks to improve mental and physical health through hands-on activities that boost coping mechanisms, sensory integration, and self-confidence.
TESTIMONY:
“My daughter has had such a wonderful experience with this farm therapy. It has been incredibly helpful for her and she truly enjoys every session. Working in that calm, natural environment has helped her feel more relaxed, happy, and confident, and we’ve seen a very positive impact on her overall well-being!”
